Welcome to Nate finding a breakthrough that appeared impossible. He cements a standard from which he progresses into his promise. Nate’s journey was a mountain with an insurmountable appearance. He never thought he could do it.
Nate finds something that has led him to a place of expectation; something externally inner. He discovers something that is externally present but is innerly produced: success or I would even dare say peace. Success (peace) was foreign, undefinable, unreachable; however just so happens to be what he has discovered. Success is externally recognized in a variety of people deemed successful while also inwardly actualized as each person in success can be personified as Nate himself which I consider to be evidence of his peace. Thus creating the title of the song: Hope.
One lyric I want to highlight, analyze, and respond to:
1. “But I gave you your chance to deliver, now it’s my turn.”
To me, this is a pure, expectant, transformative shift in authority. Communicating to the man who got him to where he is yet also recognizing that that man as not completely accomplishing the mission. There is a respect while also a hope. He doesn’t discredit this man, but he does acknowledge that there is a needed transition of power. Thus entering the white clothed Nate. Brilliant. This transition from vulnerability into authority distinguishes the white clothed Nate and sets the tone for his awakening.
